Peoria City gives us no choice with their play – we MUST talk about the start to this season. After a 1-1 draw with Des Moines Menace at Valley Stadium, Peoria have scored sixteen unanswered goals in three matches, including two 6-0 wins against Chicago Dutch Lions and Sueno FC.
3 Western Mass Pioneers

Last Week:
6		 No matches played since the last time these rankings ran, but the Pioneers are still waiting to concede their first goal. Could it happen against Black Rock FC on Friday?

Last Week:
13		 A very nervy win against Boston Bolts retains the Phantoms’ perfect record, but they didn’t make it easy on themselves. After a goal inside five minutes to start, Taig Healy was sent off with ten minutes remaining and Seacoast United had to see the match out with a man down. All that matters, though, is the three points.
5 Flint City Bucks

Next match: @ Kalamazoo FC, 6/1 7:30 pm ET		 3
Last Week:
2		 A scoreless draw certainly isn’t what the Bucks were looking for. Three goals in three games doesn’t place them among the very elite when looking onto the horizon – the Bucks need more chances at the net.
6 Lionsbridge FC

Next match: @ Charlottesville Blues FC, 6/5 7:00 pm ET		 5
Last Week:
1		 Lionsbridge were good for a couple of these performances last season, and look like they haven’t fully shaken that off. A 2-0 loss to Charlottesville Blues at home, followed by a 1-0 win over NoVa on the road, and suddenly the next two weeks look extremely critical in the divisional race.
7 Asheville City SC

Next match: vs East Atlanta FC, 6/1 7:30 pm ET		 2
Last Week:
9		 The Blues are on fire! 13 scored, one conceded, and some real separation at the top of the South Central division. Asheville’s goalscoring is elite and easy on the eye – a required tune-in for any League Two fan.
8 Des Moines Menace

Last Week:
7		 Two resounding wins for the Menace do just as much to get them back on track as it does to bolster the reputation of Peoria City. They won’t have a chance at revenge until July, so until then, the Menace will have three consecutive away matches through the first two weeks of June.
9 Long Island Rough Riders

Last Week:
5		 It’s not really Long Island’s fault they dropped spots this week, they got the win they needed. However, they haven’t kept a clean sheet in either of their first two matches, and for a club with title aspirations, the defense will want to stop those rogue goals from getting by them. They won’t be thrilled with the sending off earlier this week, either.
10 North Carolina FC U-23

Next match: @ Charlotte Independence 2, 6/8 7:00 pm ET		 2
Last Week:
12		 NCFC U-23 are on fire, and won’t be too dissuaded by a 1-1 draw against Salem City on the road – it’s the first goal they’ve conceded all season. With three more away matches in a row after playing two straight, this stretch will determine what kind of season this is going to be for the USL Championship affiliate.
11 Vermont Green FC

Next match: vs AC Connecticut, 6/1 6:00 pm ET		 7
Last Week:
4		 The Green’s goalscoring doesn’t qualify as a concern yet, but the reasons why it may become one are there. Vermont create good chances – great ones, even. However, it feels like they’ll need at least four or five clear cut chances per game to come away with a goal or two, and in some games, that won’t be enough.
12 Midwest United FC

Next match: @ Union FC Macomb, 6/1 6:00 pm ET

Midwest United FC’s final regular season match is on July 1 – an extremely front-loaded schedule. That’s not been a problem for them so far, though, with five wins in six matches. IT remains to be seen if the sprint of the condensed season will get to the Great Lakes contenders eventually.
13 Fort Wayne FC

Last Week:
11		 The defending Valley champions are getting their wins, though consecutive 1-0 victories will be a smaller margin of error than they’re looking for as they angle toward being prepared for the playoffs.
14 Little Rock Rangers

Next match: vs Mississippi Brilla FC, 7:00 pm CT
Last Week:
14		 A 2-0 win over Mississippi Brilla on the road may kick start the Rangers attack – the defense is already in great shape. They’ll have an immediate rematch on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium.
15 Hudson Valley Hammers

Next match: vs NJ Copa FC, 7:00 pm ET

It may just be best practice for the Hammers to keep a Powder on retainer. After Samory Powder won Player of the Year in a successful Hammers season in 2022, it’s Seth Powder finding the back of the net for the Metro contenders in 2024.
