Since 2017, Capital FC has hosted talented players from around the world in Salem to join the our first team for the short USL League 2 season. Many of these players move on to become professional soccer players in leagues around the world, and our club relies on help from our families to help host these players during the summer time. 

Having host families is a win for everyone. First, it helps make it possible for CFC to operate this pre-professional program every summer. Second, it makes a huge impact on the players who come and helps these players feel settled and create ties to the community. Last, the program is really special for the host families - many create ties to players that go on for years to come, both for kids and the parents. 

Capital FC is looking for host families to take in talented players from the US and abroad for the 2023 USL League 2 season. 

Details -

• Players will arrive mid May and could stay through mid July, though some may arrive later or leave earlier, depending on their college school schedule. 

• We are flexible with you and can customize the length of the player’s stay with you. Our highest area of need is for families who would be willing to host from mid May until the first week of June. 

• CFC will work with your summer schedule plans at your comfort level. If you are to leave for a trip, or have relatives in town, they will find a “fill in” family during that time if you don’t want a house sitter.

• CFC players just need a bed! No food needed if you do not have that ability.

• You will not be solely in charge of transportation! CFC will work to arrange any transportation needs for the player in your home.

• CFC players are instructed by the club to help out and be a helpful team player while in your home, reflecting the values of the club in their behavior and attitude.
