Atletico Welcomes Joe Wentworth as its new Head Coach

SALEM, Ore. – Capital FC Atletico has just announced Joe Wentworth as Head Coach for the 2023 season.

Wentworth serves as the Technical Director for the youth side of the club. Home to 4,000 players from age groups U3-U19, CFC provides programming at all levels of play.

“I am excited to take this step and tie the youth club into the USL 2 team,” says Wentworth. “This is a unique opportunity to showcase our full pathway from U3 development soccer all the way to the Pre-Professional team.”

Wentworth holds a magnitude of licenses including ​​his USSF A-Youth License, USSF Grass Roots Instructors License, USC Director of Coaching License, and USC Special Topics License. To read more about Joe’s background, click here.

Atletico enters the 2023 season as repeating USL2 Northwest Division Champions (2021, 2022). The Northwest Division is made up of CFC Atletico, Ballard FC of Seattle, Lane United FC of Eugene, OVF Alliance of Albany, Oly Town FC of Olympia, and United PDX of Portland.
