OLYMPIA, WA. - A 3-2 W over Oly Town FC starts the "new" CFC Atletico season off on the right foot.

A typical PNW evening featuring a light rain, clouds, and sunshine turned out to be the perfect way for CFC Atletico to kickstart their season. After just two practices, Atletico traveled 2.5 hours north to meet Oly Town FC for the first time in history at Oly’s inaugural match.

Throughout the first half, both teams created opportunities to score but neither were able to capitalize. It wasn't until stoppage time of the first 45' that Gabriel Silva earned a PK. With a beautiful finish into the back of the net, Atletico ended the first half up 1-0.

The almost scoreless first half turned out to not be the memo of the second. Within minutes of the start of the second 45', Oly Town FC responded with a goal to make it an even 1-1.

Quickly after, Nathan Masters connected with Jeremy Opong to regain the lead in the 51’.

By the 58', Oly Town FC found another opportunity off a cross to score the equalizer.

However, less than 5 minutes later in the 63’, Masters and Opong were back at it again - this time with reversed roles. Jeremy sent a ball through the box and in sliding fashjon, Masters was able to secure the game winning goal.

Atletico finished the match in a 3-2 W featuring two High School Seniors on the pitch - Anthony Godinez and Nathan Martinez-Sanchez.
