Head Coach, Matt Broadhead, caught in on the congrats and had a few things to say about the U23 alumni who were top 25 picks.
"These boys brought a tremendous amount of leadership, professionalism, personality, presence, and quality to our pitch this summer.
Playing in this league was a key part of their development to get to this point. The USL 2 is an additional platform for players to make a name for themselves outside of college soccer. With their college accolades as well as USL 2 accolades, it put them in position to be drafted into MLS.
My advice to both Esai and Phil is to not celebrate yet - you’ve got a job to earn!"

"We’re talking about less than 1% of players that will get this type of opportunity. About 5% that can put themselves in position. Timing, quality, and a little luck has always been the recipe. We're looking forward for another summer in USL 2 and building a squad with more future pro’s on it!"
