TIMBERS U23 ANNOUNCE FIRST PLAYERS ON 2020 ROSTER

SALEM, Ore. -- The Timbers U23 have just announced the first four players on their upcoming 2020 roster. 

Please welcome to the pitch Alonso Coello Camarero and Ivan Mykhailenko of Florida Atlantic University, George Tasouris of Grand Canyon University, and Sullivan Lauderdale of Oakland University. All players are Pending League and Federation Approval.

Alonso Coello Camarero | Midfielder | Florida Atlantic University

  • 2019 Conference USA First Team

  • 2019 C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll

  • 2018 All-C-USA Third Team

  • 2018 C-USA All-Freshman Team

  • Earned Conference USA First Team honors

Ivan Mykhailenko | Forward | Florida Atlantic University

  • 2019 All-Conference USA Second Team

  • 2019 C-USA Offensive Player of the Week (10/01)

  • Led his team to win the U16 and U17 national championship in Ukraine

  • Earned Conference USA Second Team honors in first year playing with the Owls

  • Led the team in goals (seven), points (17), game-winning goals (three), shots (34) and shots on goal (17)

  • In the conference rankings, finished tied for third in goals and game-winning goals, as well as third in goals per game (0.44), fourth in points per game and seventh in points

George Tasouris | Goalkeeper | Grand Canyon University

  • Ranked second nationally in save percentage (.860) behind only Saint Mary's and Timbers U23 alumni Remi Prieur (.873).

  • Was named the WAC Tournament MVP after recording a tournament record 22 saves and leading GCU to three consecutive 1-0 victories. Named the College Soccer News National Player of the Week.

  • Earned All-WAC second team and freshman team honors.

  • Led the WAC in save percentage (.860) and ranked second in goals against average (0.78).

  • In goal for nine shutout victories - the ninth-most in the country

  • Earned multiple WAC Defensive Player of the Week in 2018 season

Sullivan Lauderdale | Goalkeeper | Oakland University Athletics

  • Started 18 games in net with a 9-7-2 record

  • Recorded assists on game-winning goal with just 19 seconds left in regulation in 2019 season

  • Ranks sixth in the Horizon League in saves (73) and tied for third in shutouts (3) with a 1.40 goals-against-average

  • Competed for Team USA in Triathlon World Championships
